Takikomigohan

Takikomi gohan is a rice dish in which mushrooms and meat are cooked together with rice.

INGREDIENTS

  • Chicken thigh : 300g
  • Mushrooms : 200g
  • Carrot : 1
  • Soy sauce : 3 tablespoons
  • Mirin : 3 tablespoons
  • Dashi (granules) : 1 teaspoon
  • Rice : 540cc
  • Water : 2.5 cups
  • Vegetable oil : Appropriate amount

RECIPE

  1. Cut the chicken thighs into small pieces and fry them in a frying pan with oil.
  2. Cut the mushrooms into bite-sized pieces and mince the carrots.
  3. Add mushrooms, carrots, soy sauce, mirin, and dashi to a frying pan and fry over high heat until the moisture evaporates.
  4. Put rice and water in a pot, and after polishing, add water (2.5 cups) and stir-fried ingredients.
  5. Cover with a lid and heat over high heat. When it boils, reduce the heat to low.
  6. After 10 minutes on low heat, turn off the heat and let it steam for 10 minutes without removing the lid.

SUPPLEMENT

The ingredients are your choice, and you can substitute seafood such as scallops and oysters for chicken.
