Shogayaki

Shogayaki is a Japanese dish of grilled meat marinated in ginger juice.
Meat is mainly pork.

INGREDIENTS

  • Pork loin(sliced) : 300g
  • Soft flour : 1 tablespoon
  • Ginger(grated) : 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce : 2 tablespoons
  • Sugar : 1 tablespoon
  • Sake : 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil : 1 tablespoon

RECIPE

  1. Sprinkle the pork with soft flour.
  2. Mix ginger, soy sauce, sugar and sake in a bowl.
  3. Oil a frying pan and bake both sides of the pork over medium heat.
  4. Add the mixed sauce and it’s complete when the taste is familiar.

SUPPLEMENT

If you don’t have sesame oil, any other oil is fine.
Other cuts of pork can be substituted as long as they are thinly sliced.
You can prevent the pork from curling by making several cuts from the fat to the lean.
